myenergi is a rapidly growing energy-sector start-up based in North-East Lincolnshire. The company designs and manufactures consumer products which enable households to monitor and manage the daily electricity flows within their premises. The company currently employs over 300 staff engaged in product development, manufacturing, customer support, sales, marketing and finance. A new headquarters building is currently under construction which, when complete, will house all the company’s activities in a new, purpose-built facility at Stallingborough near Grimsby.
Due to the continued growth and development, we are looking for DevOps Engineers.
We need someone who understands the importance of keeping infrastructure running whilst shepherding in the future of myenergi’s hosting environment.
The DevOps engineer will be joining a multi skilled DevOps team working with various AWS cloud technologies with a touch of more traditional server hosting and maintenance activities. Working as part of a remote DevOps team in the UK with DevOp engineers in a near shore setting the DevOps team are responsible for the entire operational aspects of the software development life cycle, from the hosting of the code to the creation of infrastructure to the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
The operation of live and development environments.
The implementation and adherence to policies and best practice.
To coach and mentor other team members.
Lead on incidents and look to identify root cause and put measures in place to prevent similar happenings in the future.
Work with development teams to extract requirements for hosting and infrastructure.
Design and develop the DevOps delivery pipelines for infrastructure and software components.
Work with the Head of DevOps to help create polices.
Work with the Head of DevOps to help define the Strategic Vison.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
The ideal candidate will have experience in:
* Cloud Hosting - we use AWS
- ECS (Fargate)
- Lambda
- EC2
- RDS
* Defining and managing networks within a Cloud environment.
* Infrastructure as Code - we use Terraform.
* Containerised deployment.
* Running and maintaining systems in a production environment.
*Working with CI/CD pipelines.
It would be good if you also had:
* A good understanding of Microsoft Server and MSSQL.
* Experience managing and scaling Postgres.
* The ability to demonstrate what is needed for reliability engineering.
