myenergi is a rapidly growing energy-sector start-up based in North-East Lincolnshire. The company designs and manufactures consumer products which enable households to monitor and manage the daily electricity flows within their premises. The company currently employs over 300 staff engaged in product development, manufacturing, customer support, sales, marketing and finance.

Due to the continued growth and development, we are looking for a Software Product Owner to help us build excellence within our software development.

Responsibilities:

We need someone who understands the importance of placing the user at the centre of everything we do.

Your responsibilities include:
- Working with the Product team to help them to ensure we are building the right things at the right time.
- Working with the wider organisation to create and maintain Software Product Backlogs.
- Prioritise the work of the Delivery Teams to meet the strategic aims of the business.

But most importantly, ensure that our teams are delivering excellent products that delight our users.

The Software Product Owner is accountable for maximising the value of the software product resulting from the work of the Delivery Team.

The Product Owner is also accountable for effective Product Backlog management, which includes:
- Developing and explicitly communicating the Product Goal;
- Creating and clearly communicating Product Backlog items;
- Ordering Product Backlog items; and,
- Ensuring that the Product Backlog is transparent, visible and understood.

Required Qualifications and Experience: 

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience of:
· Working in an Agile environment, ideally as a Product Owner.
· A formal Agile qualification would be desirable but not essential.

As a Software Product Owner you will interact with members of the myenergi team at all levels. You will need to be a good communicator, equally comfortable speaking directly with Engineering and outsource technical partners as providing reports to the Board.
