We specialise in the design and manufacture of ground-breaking renewable-energy technology products.
The MEI Project Engineer is a key role within the Internal Operations delivery team and will report directly to the Head of Internal Operations. Working alongside a Project Coordinator as part of a Project Delivery Team, the role will be responsible for designing and delivering solar, storage, and electric vehicle charging projects. Operating in a fast-paced, purpose driven industry, the successful candidate will provide outstanding levels of customer service and ensure projects are delivered to industry leading standards.
Responsibilities:
1. Site survey and customer liaison to understand customer requirements.
2. Solar, storage, and EV charging system design using the full suite of myenergi products.
3. Delivery project management with bill of materials and contractor control to ensure projects are delivered on time and budget.
4. Ensure the customers expectations are met and where possible exceeded.
5. Follow processes and efficiently use provided software fully to drive efficiency.
6. Ensure systems are updated in real time with accurate information, with particular attention to delivery costs.
7. Work closely with the installation teams and supervisors to troubleshoot issues.
8. Work collaboratively and support other colleagues within the wider team.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Skills
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
Comfortable speaking to customers over the phone.
Able to work in a busy and demanding environment.
Computer literate and confident using full Office 365 suite.
Positive disposition who enjoys working in a high-paced, growth environment.
Experience
Meeting deadlines, targets and schedules.
Working to Customer Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators.
Planning and responsibility for running multiple projects simultaneously as part of a delivery team.
Using solar photovoltaic and battery storage system design tools (e.g. PV*Sol, Open Solar, etc.)
Managing the delivery of renewable technologies (solar photovoltaic, battery storage, EV charging, etc.)
Qualifications (required)
City & Guilds - Level 3 Award in Requirements for Electrical Installations BS 7671
An industry recognised qualification in solar design/installation (e.g. City & Guilds 2399)
Qualifications (desirable)
City & Guilds - Level 3 qualification - Installing Electrotechnical Systems and Equipment NVQ (or equivalent).
City & Guilds - AM2 qualification
City & Guilds - 2391-52 Combined Initial Verification and Periodic Inspection and Testing (or equivalent).
