We specialise in the design and manufacture of ground-breaking renewable-energy technology products.
The Project Designer is a key role within the operations delivery team and will report to the Technical Operations Manager. Working alongside the consumer sales and project delivery teams, the role will be responsible for reviewing survey information, assessing the installation requirements, and preparing design and installation documentation following our standard installation methodologies. Within our installation process, the design is prepared in response to a site survey as part of our Design Consultation which includes a consultation appointment where the customer has the opportunity to ask technical questions regarding the products and the installation process. As such, the candidate will have a strong technical understanding of residential renewable installations generally and be able to confidently respond to customer questions and support the consumer sales team with any technical follow up queries.
Responsibilities:
Review survey information and determine an appropriate installation methodology for our products.
Liaise with the customer to create a suitable design and create the supporting paperwork to include DNO applications and structural survey reports.
Engage with customers in both scheduled appointments and reactively to technical follow up questions.
Support the sales team to help convert sales opportunities following design consultations.
Provide technical support to the wider teams.
Undertake in-person site visits to customers on occasion.
Use experience to be an active driver of continuous improvement across Operations to help scale the delivery capability of the business.
Qualifications & Experience:
Experience of planning and being responsible for running multiple renewable installation projects simultaneously as part of a delivery team.
A confident communicator, who is familiar with IT tools and business systems.
Familiarity with solar photovoltaic and battery storage system design tools (e.g. PV*Sol, Open Solar, etc.).
Qualifications (desirable)
City & Guilds - Level 3 Award in Requirements for Electrical Installations BS 7671.
An industry recognised qualification in solar design/installation (e.g. City & Guilds 2399)
